A Sunderland-based entrepreneur is in search of new ideas and collaborators to explore the huge market of internet-enabled office phones.
Al Yong, Managing Director of unified communications firm Affinity Systems, is looking to work with software developers with innovative ideas for exploiting the unused market.
“Most offices these days are equipped with internet phones which are only ever used for making calls, when they could be used as a new platform for apps”, he said.
“We’re talking about tens of millions of handsets, on every desk in every office in the land, so there’s huge market potential, and the possible applications of this technology are effectively endless.”

A new project will allow budding software entrepreneurs to get advice from industry professionals by posting their idea in an online letterbox.
WordPress has quietly gained the acceptance of the critical masses and grown into the biggest blogging platform on the web.
